Comment Insights into Christianity and Islam

Jesus died for humanity - Muslims die for Mo

I have to cross post a couple of comments made to the post “Christianity’s Non-Compete Clause” on one of my blogs – NCCR. A comment by the screen name perceptor1 was very insightful. The person went to great lengths to show Christianity as tolerant and peaceful while Islam is the exact opposite as a conquest-minded theopolitical ideology. I only had one slight disagreement to the comment. Perceptor1 says this about Christianity:

Christianity does not forbid competition, but merely ‘claims’ it is useless or ineffectual to compete with Christ’s act on the cross. “

I left this comment in reference to that one sentence:

Perceptor1 I believe we are saying the same thing. The apples and oranges thing really is just a matter of semantics. Otherwise, you have made an awesome comment that is very insightful. I have to disagree a little though. The Christian Scriptures often warn of false religions, false prophets, false gospels and worrisome doctrines. And yet the warning is not followed with a command to kill the offenders as Islam commands its followers.”

You can read perceptor1’s comment to form your own opinion. It is my opinion the slight disagreement is semantic and thus not worth getting bent out of shape over.

Then Dajjal makes a series of comments that when collated together roughly has the theme that Islam is intolerant and violent. You should note that Dajjal writes in a slightly more hostile manner about Islam than I do; nevertheless his sentiments are correct.

Perceptor1’s Apple and Oranges

John Houk has compared apples with oranges. Christianity makes the universal ‘claim’ that Jesus is the only path to salvation. Islam counters with the universal claim that Mohammed is the final messenger. At this point, the two religions diverge in ‘methodology’.

Christianity’s method is based on the Golden Rule, unlike Islam which is based on the warfare of subjugating competing tribes. Islam is a tribal warrior cult. Mohammed was sent by Allah to fight until he conquered the competing tribes and imposed his political dominance over them, thereby eliminating competition.

Christianity does not forbid competition, but merely ‘claims’ it is useless or ineffectual to compete with Christ’s act on the cross. Praying thousands of prayers or chanting mantras will not help one acquire eternal salvation, but only faith in the redeeming power of Christ’s substitutionary atonement. The so-called ‘non-compete’ provisions Sharia are prescripts, ordinances and decrees from Allah which are absent in Christianity. Sharia law is Allah’s law and it forbids ‘others’ to preach to Moslem, to ring their church bells, perform religious rights in public or even distribute religious literature to Moslems. Moslem rulers felt it was their duty to destroy Christian books, churches and monasteries wherever Christians refused to submit to Islamic rule.

Medieval Christian kings often behaved badly towards minorities, treating them in extremely discriminatory ways, but they were not following Christianity’s methodology based on the Golden Rule.

Christianity divides what is due to Caesar from what is due to God. Islam does not. Islam is the religion of the State and the State is the indivisible political expression of Islam.

Christianity acknowledges competition and does not forbid it. Islam forbids all competition with Moslem males.

‘What did Moe do? The answer exemplifies Isdamn’
First Comment date: September 11, 2014 at 5:32 PM

What did Moe do? The answer exemplifies Isdamn, revealing the true meaning of the Qur’an. It is found in the Jihad books of the six canonical hadith collections, Volumes 1…12 of Tabari’s History, The Sealed Nectar, Ibn Sa’d and Guillaume’s The Life of Muhammad. Read one of them and curse Isdamn for it is evil.

3:2. Allâh! Lâ ilahâ illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists.

Only Allah has the right to be worshipped. Corollary: there is no right to practice Christianity.

Isdamn declares unremitting warfare against Christians. Who can get a clue?

9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islâm) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Only Allah has the right to rule. There is no appeal to his rulings.

33:36. It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allâh and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allâh and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error.

Allah gives the world to Muslims through conquests, irreversibly.

13:41. See they not that We gradually reduce the land (of disbelievers, by giving it to the believers, in war victories) from its outlying borders. And Allâh judges, there is none to put back His Judgement and He is Swift at reckoning.
