A Good Time to Stand with Google and Free Speech

internet-censorship

Google is so big that in many cases people often vilify the Internet giant for probable snooping. Even so even with the vilification Google Search is the most often go-to search engine on the Net. I mean really, a common response to a question is, “Google it”.

Saying all that you have to know that Google put there dough out there to keep the Internet free. Google is becoming the facilitator to place numbers to those of us that do not want Internet censorship. That is a good thing!

Google informs us that a closed door meeting began on December 3, discussing Internet freedom in Dubai. In case you are unaware Dubai is a little Sultanate on the east side of the Arabian Peninsula. When you think Arabian Peninsula you should think Saudi Arabia. AND when you think Saudi Arabia you should think of the purist Islamic sect (Radical Islam) of Wahhabism. Wahhabism and the Muslim Brotherhood (centered in Egypt) are the Radical Islamic giants that influence al Qaeda operating transnationally and the Taliban operating in the AfPak area.

Lest we forget September 11, 2001 the Islamic terrorist attack on American soil was from al Qaeda agents and the Taliban then in control of Afghanistan offered al Qaeda and its now dead leader Osama bin Laden safe haven to thumb their noses at dead Americans.

So when I think of Dubai’s closed meeting I also think of the Istanbul Process closed meeting which Hillary Clinton is involved in appeasing to OIC in making it illegal to criticize Islam and its relation to terrorism. At this point I have not done the due process to check on this closed meeting in Dubai; however its location off hand indicates another closed meeting to appease Radical Islam by censoring counterjihad blogging or writing on the Internet.

So this is what I am going to do at this point. I am going to post the Google email I found in my inbox and follow that with a Google (Youtube) video on this issue along with the info following the video.

A closed-door meeting of the world’s governments is starting today. The future of the internet is on the agenda. Some governments want to use this meeting of the International Telecommunication Union to increase censorship and regulate the Internet.

I am concerned, and I am not alone. More than 1,000 organizations from 163 countries have raised concerns about this upcoming closed-door meeting in Dubai. They are joined by hundreds of thousands of Internet users who are standing up for a free and open Internet. These people are in just about every country around the world — take a look.

If you agree and support a free and open Internet, join them and raise your voice: google.com/takeaction

Together, we can protect the free and open Internet. Please make your voice heard and spread the word.

Tell the world's governments you support a free and open web athttp://www.google.com/takeaction.

Starting December 3rd, the world's governments are meeting behind closed doors at the ITU to discuss the future of the Internet. Some governments want to use this meeting in Dubai to increase censorship and regulate the Internet.

Tell the world's governments you support a free and open web athttp://www.google.com/takeaction. Then spread the word with #freeandopen.

It is ours and it is free.
A free and open world

depends on a free and open web.
And a free and open web
depends on me.
